Greenway Out For The Season

Minnesota Vikings rookie linebacker Chad Greenway is out for the season, the result of a knee injury he sustained in Minnesota's first exhibition game.

Greenway was hurt covering a kickoff in the 16-13 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He had an MRI test, but a news release issued by the team didn't specify the nature of the injury.

Vikings Ink Ryan Cook

The Minnesota Vikings inked offensive lineman Ryan Cook, their second-round draft pick today to a four year deal. Cook the 51st overall choice was an exceptional player at New Mexico he can play center and guard.

The Vikings still need to sign first round linebacker Chad Greenway and second-round quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.

Vikings Host Numerous Events

The Minnesota Vikings host numerous events year around. We start in April with our Draft Party, in late July, kick-off the season in Mankato with training camp. Join us at the community salute to the team in September at our Kickoff Gala. Vikings GameDay is a weekly television show set at the Mall of America. Our NFL Football Workshop is an event offered to get a more in-depth look at football, this ever-growing event usually takes place in October. The Vikings also host a party on the plaza at least 3 hours before kick off every home game. This new section on vikings.com is devoted to those events.
